I’ve never been a sports fan. I’ve never watched sports on tv for fun. We didn’t do that growing up so it wasn’t part of my life. Nevertheless, I know who Kobe Bryant is because of how big of a star he was. And to see he died, at 41, is sad if for no other reason than he was a human and was loved by his family. But he was bigger than just that to a lot of people. And he did something right because every other post I see on social media is about him. I know next to nothing about his him or his life other than his name and that he played basketball. But a multitude of posts and messages about how he affected people he didn’t even know at different times in their lives is an indicator that this man was doing some good things.
To me, It’s a reminder to go for things now. Don’t wait for tomorrow. Say things you wanna say now. Do things you wanna do now. Be a good person now. None of us are guaranteed another minute, no matter who we are. Live your lives to the fullest. Push your limits. Don’t let others keep you from living your life to the beat of your drum. All of your decisions won’t be perfect but they’ll be your decisions and your lessons learned. We aren’t promised anything. We all only have a limited time here before we’re gone. Go make the most of right now, right now. This blog is me doing just that. Go for it. What do you have to lose?
